As we all know Food and Liquor 2 Part 1 dropped not to long ago and let me tell yall, its the shxt. alot of my friends say that its definitely a step up from lasers and I have to agree. I didnt hate Lasers but i wasnt blind to the fact that it was not REAL Lupe as we know him. This album is raw and with this Single Bitch Bad ringing in my ears its a album everyone should take the time to listen to.

My lil bit on Natural Hair

I have been natural my whole life until I decided to disobey my mother and have my roommate from my freshmen year put a perm in my hair. It was cool at first but it eventually broke off my hair after six months. I had to cut it all off. Its funny bc I did it at the time when I didn't even know who amber rose was so when people said I was trying to be like her I was like whaaaat! Umm no. This natural hair craze is taking over the world but i can't be mad at it. Its about time more of us are realizing that its just hair.

My thing is I doesn't matter if your natural or not. As long as you think your beautiful that's OK with me. I personally like weaves, hair color, and the hot comb! I'm currently growing my hair back out and my pics are at my nine month mark since my low cut.

                             

What's in a Name?

I've always wanted to start a blog because i believe that it helps in expressing my thoughts about things and i just think their cool in general. I have been inspired by one of my mentors at St. Johns University---------------------> sassysage. Her blog is full of advice, current issues and just her opinion on things relevant to the empowerment of young women everywhere. It took me a while to get started because a blog is a big deal it is your brand what you put up and out on the internet is for everyone to see and I'm in a place right now where i want everyone to see what i see in myself. A beautiful, educated, down to earth woman who just wants to make a mark in this place. I want to be not only known for my charm and swag. i want people to know that i have a voice and everyone will take something away from this blog.

I decided to name my blog FavorProne because my mother always tells me that I am highly favored by God. It took me a while to figure out exactly what she meant, but after all of my accomplishments there was no confusion. I would consider myself more spiritual than religious. I am FavorProne because i am thankful and grateful for everything that has come my way in the past two years and its only by the grace of God that i am doing so well for myself 3000 miles away from home. I don't believe in coincidence I know everything happens for a reason. When i was younger everyone in my family used to call me accident prone. i have broken my arm, wrist, and got pretty beat up from playing soccer. The name for my blog was inspired my this but in a slightly different light a positive spin.

This will NOT be a strictly ALL HOLY blog. There are issues that I will discuss or things I post that may be controversial and I will try and not offend anyone with my stance.
